The Advocacy and Organizing Institute is a great opportunity for individuals of all backgrounds and levels of experience to build and cultivate advocacy skills, meet other passionate people doing great things, and take steps towards creating real positive change.

Featuring a variety of workshops by experts statewide, such as: Organizing 101, Using the Media, Economic Justice for Montana Families, Refugee Resettlement, Mental Health Advocacy, Sexual and Domestic Violence, Reproductive Rights, LGBTQ Advocacy, Voter Advocacy, Campaign Strategy, Organizing in Indian Country, How to Create a Community Base, Voter Advocacy, and More!

 

Clinical Supervisor Training Course

Please join us for our Summer Clinical Supervisor Training Course.  It will be held on Zoom August 13-15, 9:00am - 5:30 pm each day. Please pass along this information to anyone you know that might be interested and feel free to share your testimonials with your colleagues!
 
The course features instructor Andrew Laue, LCSW (Missoula) and will be supported by Ann Truesdell, LCSW, NASW MT Executive Director.  This course covers several supervision models as well as legal and ethical issues related to supervision.  This course has received excellent reviews and consistently has a waiting list for the next course.  The course has been found to be valuable and fun (Did I say fun? Yes!) to both brand new supervisors and supervisors who are nearing retirement!  
 
This 20 CE course complies with the Supervisor Qualifications Rules for LCSW, LCPC, and LMFT Clinicians. This course is open to LCSWs, LCPCs, LMFTs and LACs. If you have held your license for fewer than three years, this course allows you to become a "Qualified Supervisor" in the State of Montana.

Please join us for our in-person Clinical Supervisor Training Course. It will be held in Missoula, MT, September 22-24, 9:00am - 5:30 pm each day.

The course features instructor Andrew Laue, LCSW (Missoula). It will be held in-person in Missoula and is an interactive course with various activities to keep you engaged. Andrew will cover several supervision models as well as legal and ethical issues related to supervision. NASW's Supervision training has received excellent reviews and consistently has a waiting list for the next course so don't wait to get signed up. Not only will this be valuable and fun (Did I say fun? Yes!) to both brand new supervisors and supervisors who are nearing retirement, you also have an opportunity to make professional connections through the interactive format.

NASW Montana and NASW Wyoming 2022 Virtual Conference

We are excited to announce our collaboration with NASW-WY to host a virtual conference beginning at 6:00 PM on Thursday, September 29th followed by full days on Friday, September 30th and Saturday, October 1st. Over 15 CEUs will be available for attendees on a variety of topics including ethics, suicide assessment and prevention, rural/frontier practice issues, and more.

An working draft of the conference schedule and presentations can be found below. New speakers and presentations continue to be added to the schedule so check back for updates.

Take advantage of early bird registration rates available now through September 2nd. Members who register during this time will pay only $145 for the conference while non-members will pay only $210. Student rates are available!

Beginning September 3rd, registration rates will increase with members paying $185, while non-members will pay $260.
