Billings Course Presenters:
Nathan Stahley, MSW, SWLC - Main Facilitator and Presenter
Nathan is the executive director of the Montana Chapter of NASW. With over 15 years of experience working with diverse populations and teams across social service and public health sectors, he has led and supervised individuals and teams, developed programs, and worked directly with clients. Nathan has a Master of Social Work from the University of Montana and is currently completing his hours as a supervisee for his LCSW. Nathan has facilitated many workshops and trainings across Montana and has spoken at national conferences including the National Association of County & City Health Officials annual meeting. Nathan has always called Montana home and enjoys hiking, fishing, and watching live music across Big Sky Country.
Christine May, LCSW, LAC - Guest Presenter
Christine has a psychotherapy practice in Billings, MT, and diversifies her practice with clinical supervision of post-graduate counselors/social workers and peer support specialists. Her theoretical approach includes Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, mindfulness, meditation, and breath practices. She loves to combine elements of yoga into her practice and take a spiritual approach to healing when clients are open to this resource. Christine is passionate about supporting clinicians in a way that bolsters resilience and sustainability in this important field.
Monica VonLangen, LCSW - Guest Presenter
Monica VonLangen, LCSW, is an Associate Professor and Field Education Coordinator for Walla Walla University in Billings, MT. She also works in a private group practice, where she sees individuals, couples, and families. Monica is a certified anger management specialist and serves as First Vice President on NASW Montana Chapter’s Board of Directors. She is always seeking to spend time with her three kids, two dogs, and one good book!
