Billings Course Presenters:

Nathan Stahley, MSW, SWLC - Main Facilitator and PresenterStahley1 (1)

Nathan is the executive director of the Montana Chapter of NASW. With over 15 years of experience working with diverse populations and teams across social service and public health sectors, he has led and supervised individuals and teams, developed programs, and worked directly with clients. Nathan has a Master of Social Work from the University of Montana and is currently completing his hours as a supervisee for his LCSW. Nathan has facilitated many workshops and trainings across Montana and has spoken at national conferences including the National Association of County & City Health Officials annual meeting. Nathan has always called Montana home and enjoys hiking, fishing, and watching live music across Big Sky Country.

 


Rebecka Pearson, Ph.D, LCPC, LPCC - Guest Presenter

As a depth psychotherapist, Dr. Rebecka Pearson has over sixteen years of experience in clinical mental health treatment. Rebecka specializes in treating not just the symptoms, but the whole human being by individualizing treatment for each patient. She has worked in outpatient clinics, inpatient hospitals, schools, nonprofits as well as founded and run a private practice for over ten years. With well over ten thousand hours of facilitating psychotherapy sessions, Rebecka has learned and honed her own approach to integrating clinical theory into actual practice and is passionate about training clinicians in practical interpersonal skills and tools for clinical work in a way that goes far beyond the traditional education.

Dr. Pearson has advanced training in CBT, DBT, narrative trauma therapy, equine assisted therapy and EMDR; and incorporates a depth perspective in working with all patients. Rebecka is particularly interested in anxiety, attachment, trauma, gender equality, supervision and self-esteem matters; she sees adult patients.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Rebecka completed her bachelor’s degree in Women's Studies in 2006, a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Immaculata University in 2009, and earned a Ph.D. in Depth Psychology with a specialization in Psychotherapy from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, CA in 2017.


Dr. Phronsie Sprenger, PHD, LCSW, CST - Guest Presenter
As an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist and Supervisor, Phronsie is a licensed mental health professional who has received specialized training in sexuality and sex-related issues. She is a LGBTQ plus and kink affirmative therapist.
